Adoption Miracle Update….part 2

I just thought I would update you all as it has been a while now since the last adoption miracle posting! Much has happened! We just completed our homestudy, and are sending it, along with other documents to China this week! We are so excited, and can’t wait to know when we will actually take the trip to China to get her! We are thinking it could possibly be as soon as December, but it’s difficult to predict.

In the meantime, we have met a couple people online who have actually traveled to her orphanage, and have even met her! And the best news is SHE’S NOT BLIND! Both said that she was able to track movements, and track toys. We knew in our hearts that she wasn’t really blind, but it’s nice to actually have someone confirm it. Based on further information from our agency, it turns out that she has an eye condition called Congenital Nystagmus, meaning that her eyes move involuntarily back and forth, and that she has lower vision than normal. It is typical for children with nystagmus to have their vision improve until the age of 5 or 6. So that’s good news! We know that with God’s power and help, nothing is impossible! We have also been blessed to get some more pictures of her, which we will be able to post, once we have everything official from China.

We want to take this time to say THANK YOU to all of you for your encouragement, love, and prayers! You have been helping to make this all possible, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you! We will definitely keep you updated!

Love,

Kim

Hi Kim,
wow, that was a paperchase at lightning speed! You even got your I 171?? That is so cool!
Now the wait starts, and hopefully it will go quickly. The Lord is obviously going ahead of you in this, and he will make it happen in his time, too!
Can’t wait to see pictures of your daughter!
The news on her updates are wonderful!
Barb
