We just read the news that there was a big earthquake a couple hundred miles from where we were staying in Chongqing! We didn’t feel anything at all where we are, here in South China, but we just discovered that one of the places where some schools toppled was in Chongqing, where we just were!
We hope that everyone is ok… Our prayers go up for the areas affected. The epicenter was on the other side of the Chongqing municipality from where Hope’s original orphanage is located (in Qianjiang).
It is soooo wierd, but the whole time we were in Chongqing, Todd and I both kept thinking about earthquakes! He even asked our guide Anita on the way to Chongqing airport if there are ever earthquakes in the area, and she said no. Kind of unnerving if you ask me!

Thank you for quickly posting about the earthquake. When I heard, we immediately began praying for all of you and of course the people in China. I’m praising God that you were not affected.
