We’ve had some stirrings in the fund raising department.
A week ago some friends donated $20. They were praying and God spoke to them to give $20 and then He would begin to multiply the rest of the money needed. Since we have the matching grant from Life International, their $20 instantly turned into $40!
On New Year’s Eve we were having some family time and read the story of Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes , and our kids gave $7.01 of their Christmas money, which turned into $14.02!
Today some friends gave $100 and their kids gave $22 of their own Christmas money, which got doubled and turned into $244.
Then this evening these same friends were at the pharmacy, and a stranger gave them a $100 bill! So they brought it over and said they wanted to give that to Hope too! So that $100 turned into $200!
So in the past week $249.01 has been donated and will be matched by Life International, totalling $498.02! 😉 Hooray!

Kim,
We are saving our bottles and cans, and spare change. I know the deadline to get the match is the 18th right? Does it have to be a check? or can it be paid through paypal. I am sorry. I don’t want to donate by paypal and have it not count. But if it will still count and be matched, that would be awesome! CAn you please specify?THANK YOU! Let me know asap. Alida

Sorry we haven’t updated the blog yet, but we just found out that Life International extended our timeframe. They didn’t say for exactly how long, but our guess is that we have as much time as we will need before we either get our approval from China or hit the $3000 limit… Thanks!

if we donte through paypal, does that still get doubled by life international? or did it need to be sent to them?

I saw your paypal donation in our inbox, so no worries. We will get it to Life International. I am thinking we can just give the cash to a local friend and have them write Life Intl a check… 😉
Many thanks to you and your family for helping! 🙂
