Played it all wrong tonight. Went down for opening night of the 110th Newport Harbor Christmas boat parade, but went to the wrong end of Balboa island to view the opening fireworks show over the wrong pier. Didn't realize it until the show started (sounding like a dandy) which was too far away to make it over, and that's near where all the lit up and decked out boats were congregating for the start of the parade... Then Abigail wasn't feeling well, so no hanging around for the boats to make their ways in our direction. Thus no action, Jackson.
Wow, no expense spared. And the winner's prize? Kudos with batteries and spare bulbs included. But this is modest and restrained compared to some of the stuff we've seen in Dallas Texas. Quite extra-ordinary displays, with 10,000 to 100,000's budget with professional teams of installers (and I jest not).

Gone to town there, I do like whatever it is on the roof making the circles though!

It's kind of the traditional trendy thing for the wealthy to do along the harbor front there on Balboa Island.

A lighting extravaganza for photography, but too much! My goodness. Wonder what the neighbour thinks.
