Just a curiosity test of Rawtherapee's pixel shift implementation in conjunction with their nifty, recently developed (and yet to be documented*) "Capture Sharpening" tool. Plus some of my usual adjustments... Cropped and pretty near MFD.
*My best stab at a summarization of the Capture Sharpening tool, from looking at and messing with the sliders and results is that does automatic pixel level detail threshold and radius analysis to set corresponding pixel level contrast adjustments... It works really well, with manual adjustments available and 'corner radius boosts' as well, to tailor to specific lenses. It seems to work just fine in conjunction with pixel shifting too, best I can tell from this one test at least. It of course doesn't change the reality that pixel shifting does not significantly factor for downsized web image viewing.
Now that's globalisation at its most developed. Called H, picked P, packed SA. Branded TJs.

The wood grain in particular looks very sharp but as you say hard to judge these things on a web jpeg.

Yep things get around these days.. It wasn't the best test subject but couldn't find anything better at the time.

Well you're best placed to judge as the tester, but the front edge of the timber is not lacking sharp detail on my screen and the printing is fine too. I'm intrigued with the provenance - Pakistan, South Africa ++?
