I've learned that these cats have theme days. One day they're both pestering me for attention all day. They next day I'm wondering if they both escaped the house because I don't see or hear a lick from either of them. One day they're upstairs only. The next day they're downstairs only... One day it's all cuddles and affection. The next day it's only play or stay away... Well today was shoe box day... They competed for sleepy time in the shoe box all day. This was the first they'd given the shoe box a moment of attention in many weeks. In fact it's like they read my mind because it had been sitting unused for so long I was just yesterday for reals considering pitching it. I was going to do a side by side but with my lazy shooting style failed to take an easily paired set of shots from the usable snaps.
Love your description of your cats behaviour. Endlessly fascinating, I forgive them for anything, including their anti-social days. This portrait and the lighting is so endearing - happy, sleepy, and maybe not too pissed-off at seeing you and the camera.

Lovely pose; too cute. The white neck/chest ruff is very prominent - similar Winter thing to Sapphy I guess.
