Toddy trojan

April 6th, 2008

I took a moment the other day to look up the name of the statue that I was taking photos of while we were visiting the USC campus on Monday, and learned that the name of the statue is “Tommy Trojan” and that they actually have a live webcam hovering in the wings (probably for security), and they archive snapshots of the captures it takes into movie files and make them available.

Sure enough I went through the archived movie file for the day/time I was there and found myself, and here I am:

Now take a moment to reflect upon the phenomenological and/or political and/or historical implications of this picture that anonymously captured me capturing Tommy Trojan.

Or not. :)
