only time for a few test shots today, learning the ways of the new-to-me Oly. LiveComp mode testing here... Tried a couple with multiple instances of my foot in the shot for the theme but they didn't turn out.
OK (having started with your latest photos) all the information I need right now. Good find!!

There's a worm hole in the room. Cool stuff. Thanks for the explanation I'll have to look into it to further understand.

I hope you enjoy your Oly as much as I do. I have used live comp a few times to capture traffic at night and movement along high street. I like it as you can leave the camera for as long as you want
I hope you encourage me more to experiment

Not a clue what this is really all about but it's got to be satisfying having a new camera and modes to experiment and explore. Looking forward to shots.

I feel like I'm being pulled into the vortex. I've been toying and resisting with the idea of getting into micro 4/3. This is not helping.

Many thanks for response; I look forward to more expressions of these features in due course.

The more recent Oly's have these 'Live' features; LiveTime, LiveBulb, LiveComp... They allow you see the development of your composites and bulb exposures on the screen as they are exposed. This was the main reason I wanted to dip into the Oly system, especially the LiveBulb mode, since I like to play with ND/IR filters, and the 'black card' technique. The LiveComp mode wasn't the main draw, since it's basically the same as the "bright" composite mode we have with our newer Pentax bodies (without the real time ability the Oly has). Already I can tell being able to see the development in real time is a kick and helps the creativity an extra notch.
I was fortunate to get into the Oly and two lenses for a total of $570 US, and so far am not regretting the experiment. I really like having the option of a small light capable camera for when I feel like it. It's also small and light enough to pack along with the main kit for extra options.

Way back when my first digital camera was an Olympus - I paid the earth for it but it was (and still is) a great camera. I too have no idea what live comp is all about.

Nice mode. Looks similar to the "light paint" mode on my phone.
And just when I had finally quenched my desires for m43 - or so I thought...
