LBA struck today with two local used bargain buy M43 lenses acquired. The rushed test shots taken bored me so this comparison shot will have to do.

Pictured lens acquired (my first M43 Prime):
Panasonic Lumix G 14mm F2.5 ASPH Pancake (effective 28mm FF FOV)

Weight comparison to go along with this size comparison:
K1 (1010g) + FA31 (345g) = 1355g
Oly (390g) + 14mm (55g) = 445g

The other lens acquired today is a Panasonic Lumix G 12-32 ASPH. Spent $200 total to acquire both lenses...

Since I now have three FL overlapping wide angle M43 lenses*, some further comparisons should be forthcoming...

*Oly 9-18mm, Lumix 12-32mm, Lumix 14mm

They are all relatively tiny (a prerequisite for any M43 lenses I'm going to acquire):
Lumix 14mm = 55g
Lumix 12-32mm = 70g
Oly 9-18mm = 155g

Great photo...as I'm contemplating what camera to take on trips/holidays. The OM-D looks very cute and all those added filters/effects. I'm not taking the K-1, it's way too big heavy, and I'm fed up missing nice shots of my girls in motion because the AF sucks (by AF I mean the whole shebang...face/eye recognition etc etc). Fuji or Sony on the list too...but I'll have to sell somethings first....not the K-1...

No argument from me about FF. I didn't buy into M43 for small size/weight but for certain unique features I wanted to play with, as noted before.. But might as well enjoy the small size while I'm at it.. It's a nice alternative option when I feel like going light (especially useful with the back injuries I've had). And I've found that it's small and light enough gear that it gets packed along with FF gear rather than instead of it.

Yea, they are small, M43. main advantage. But there is something extra with big FF, and that is not just size.

Well done. Such dramatic size and weight differences; huge advantage for travel and discrete street.
