Dying flower so went bw with it, though I think it loses some of the impact of why I pulled up the camera, being the light that was touching the flowers. Not much of a shot obviously but considering that I was holding all three dogs on leashes with the other hand... (Fam out of town again until tomorrow night picking up Hannah from camp up north while I hold down the fort.)

With some exceptions (like Bill's rose yesterday or the day before) I think a degree of dying is the main thing that works for monochrome flowers. You've got good pop and clarity with this cluster.
