p.s. The rodent (pretty sure it was the same one) that was in the cupboard the other day got caught in one of our sticky pad traps and Mishka got her first taste of the kill in the night last night. Good practice!

I do wonder with the breed being from the Siberian forest, if maybe it was an adaptation to protect the ears from the elements/snow.

No special purpose that I can find. Ear tufts are called "furnishings" in the breeding world from the reading I did. I haven't seen them this long in adult Siberian pictures I've seen online so have been wondering if she's going to keep them or if they will fade. I like them.

Just extraordinary. Do the hairy ears have a special purpose for this breed?
