Yeah i felt same way about the black spaces but wasn't into the experiment enough to bother addressing which would have increased playtime beyond my available energies...

And yes, smoke from the "Holy (Jim)" fire that has now consumed 18k acres near us was diffusing the light for me. We could see flames cresting the ridge from our neighborhood last night as the fire reached Santiago peak.

I'm all for experimenting and apart from the random "black" borders, I quite like how this turned out. Very interesting how gimp has worked with the little fruit/seed balls to get the reflected image. Smoke-enhanced orange?
