Mishka got spayed yesterday and has been sleeping almost non-stop. Obviously in some pain but being super affectionate at the same time. She was scared to leave and seemed quite relieved to be back home, despite stumbling around all day like a drunken sailor... I just keep telling her to rest up because her new BFF Neoshki arrives late tomorrow.
Neoshki is on a three hour train ride from Tver to the airport in Moscow right now. Then a twelve-ish hour flight to LAX. Then the long drive to our house in OC.
We have to keep them separated for a couple days... So probably will introduce them on Sunday...
Poor Mishka, she'll lose some of her fighting spirit probably...

My little one is similar, hates being taken to the vet (gets very vocal even for a Bengal) but super affectionate once back home. Exciting times with the new one on the way! Hope they make the best of friends.
A lovely soft close up shot too.

Exciting progress and I'm not even there. Neoshki seems very calm and affectionate - presumably some measure of sedation. And your picture suggests Mishka knows exactly what's going on. It'd be great to witness their meeting.
