Curious if the extreme lack of inspiration I was feeling with these shots (all live comps) is readily apparent to you. Was tired after hard work day and week and had only a short shooting window while Hannah was in dance class. Wasn't seeing anything shotworthy but forced myself through the motions. Of course while on the walk back to pick Hannah up I was seeing one shot after another that I would've loved to explore but couldn't stop to shoot them.
Composition with an FE is always a challenge, but the colors and sharpness make up for the uneven light trials, which I think are a great addition to this photo.

Haha, nothing like a bus to "ruin" your shot! I actually think it balanced weel with the height of the store front signs. But well, none of that could compete with the Milky Way tree!
And no, can't notice any lack of inspiration in the images. I know the feeling all too well, though. Including the seeing lots of subjects when there's no opportunity to shoot them.

@Rod the taller light trails on the right are a bus going by and it turned right behind the tree.

That tree has a rather ominous lean towards Santa

I'd have tried to re-orient things a little so the light trails were the same elevation on both the left and right sides, but that just reflects my sense of geometric order, and acknowledging happily that deliberately in-built leans and tilts can be very effective. Given your usual adventurous photographic spirit - no, lack of inspiration didn't spring to mind. The myriad of starbursts on the tree is dazzling.
