Great desert colours and fascinating wind effects. Handy having the photog for scale.

A hibiscus to mark the end of the hiatus. Only 9 days and it will be April! But it's runs on the board and a nice MacTak B&W to boot.

Oh this is nice; love that the framing includes his belt and sword. The A's done a nice job on the Great Nebula, and I'm a bit surprised how well it's picked up the Flame Nebula next to the third (lowest) belt star. Nice too how the lens is picking up some of the warmer star colours. Wondering if you've updated firmware so that your K1 has three Astrotracer modes, in which case, which one did you use? I use Mode 3 now, which I understand relies on the sensor doing a preliminary track before exposure, avoiding the need for the chicken dance (although I still do that) but more usefully from my perspective, not having to worry about interference from overhead wires and nearby structures containing steel. So pleased that you grabbed this night shoot opportunity - did you travel out alone, or team up with other astro people?

Yay! Here's me thinking will he/won't he make it through February with an empty album and not only has that been avoided, they're night sky shots to boot! Very interesting to see a result from this lens too. The coma birds are evident in the corners but not intrusively so, unlike my DFA 15-30/2.8. Plus you were shooting wide open; fwiw I always try to close down 1 stop on my night shots to limit optical artefacts. Some high cloud has imparted a little bit of glow around the brighter stars but again it doesn't detract significantly from the beauty of this iconic part of the sky. No missing the Great Nebula either. Many thumbs up.

Very pleased that you did. Such harsh, diverse and interesting terrain.
