I'm not with Rod who is with A here. I like the moment in time look, but I'm thinking "so..what is this image trying to tell me?" Plus the waste bin takes centre stage a little too much for me.

Photo journalism at its most powerful, with excellent contrasts.

Quite a stretch and apart from the top left corner the IQ's held up very well. Like this a lot too.

I'm with A again. I do like the moment you've caught with him glancing out the window.

Every element is pointing up - very fitting. Lovely tones. I agree that some of the in-camera b&w settings are really hard to reproduce. I still haven't figured out how to split the mid-tones to get hcbw results like the GR produces.

I love the mood in this one and the low angle looking up enhances the spiritual feeling. Nicely done!

Cool play on the angles light and forms.

This is my favourite of this set; the lighting/exposure is great and I rather like the sense of menace or foreboding that I sense.

Haha - your reference to emergency activity had me wondering first about the garlanded lights around the tree - then I saw what you were referring to. A magnificent fig to be sure. Lots to interest the viewer in this one.
