at Rod, well i did take a shot of the train passing at this stop, but thought the lowering gates was the less uninteresting shot.. i will upload one for you... they are pretty boring looking trains.. I've posted shots of them before but they usually have lots of associated motion blur haha.
at Jim, I am not sure my priorities right now because I keep getting hurt at the gym! getting old is a drag! I guess dragging the body around is exercise too though haha!

thanks! a tough one to process and still not happy with it but like the last Sundial bridge shot, I'm burned out on trying to process it better, so posted it just to be done with it haha. don't know why i always make things so hard on myself. if i am going to bracket and hdr then I should do more than two exposures! at least when it's easy to do during the day!

The phone snap counts as a picture and there are lots of interesting things to look at here - the "No Train Horns" sign, the rail crossing bars lowering... Where are your priorities though? Good health vs random photographs with the big camera

This is great - light, colour, comp. - they're all singing together.

No worries about phone snap; still nice light for a different interpretation of the scene. Next time you might snap a train - I've not seen an LA version Trains score highly in Explore too

Ouch, I can only echo what the others are saying. Stay safe, and good luck.

Strong b&w but I think the colour version suits the light sources better.

Thanks todd and nicely done. You've removed the tease element without compromising the sense of empty space and I think the crop has enhanced the impact of the lighting too.
