I prefer the b&w because the moose head and fan shadow come out better. I actually think the Tak has made the best XPan impersonation so far.

Seems to work well. Not as dramatic as the Laowa. I'm not quite sure which emulates the XPan look the best.

Hardly overcooked. You have kept the 8E bokeh intact and made a lovely b&w. As for the MFD, I wouldn't mind having it shorter for the 50ies. And the 43. And the DA70, which is really quite bad in that regard.
