I guess the ants were a bit thirsty too. Love the pentameral symmetry of these flowers and how the inner bits are set between the "petals".

Very good eye to see let alone capture this selectively lit and short-lived alignment.

I always marvel at how dogs' feet seem so resistant to extreme heat and cold. Chuckling too as I wonder how many times you got her to wander into that light patch to get the shot ))
