The irix15 has one of those red flare arcs but it's much more obvious and only strikes at a narrow range of angles. I quite like the effect here.

That sunburst pattern is really all one needs to ID the lens used. Wonderful backlit greens and venation. I've been pleasantly surprised/reminded how good this lens can be this month, despite the occasional walls that have been encountered.

But this is still scrumptious. Bold and sharp. Cropped much? Hoping to see more sunbursts - may already be elsewhere in your album (I'm enjoying your new purchase haha)

Liking that bokeh for such a wide angle. Looking forward to see more from this lens.

No complaints wide open. You'll have to take it to church on Sunday.

Excelellent closeup detail and the bokeh's not shabby by any means.

Woohoo! That's a day earlier than the revised early delivery isn't it. Thanks for the side by side comparison opportunity, although apart from a few technical criteria it's probably unfair to do so given their different roles.

Happy start I'd reckon. Subjects are pretty well identical in the middle; looks sharp all over; the speaker on the right looks as if it's in shock but that's cool. The room boundaries form a strong rectangle with only a hint of distortion in the verticals. Can't wait for you to try it in town and on the coast.
