Interesting (and comforting) to note the flare type artefacts around the really bright starburst. I noticed the same thing last night but I'd removed the UV filter, the lens was clean and I had the hood extended. I was able to tame it a bit in post, but not completely. I'm presuming it's internal reflections of some kind.

Earthquake was the first thing that sprung to my mind too when I saw the thumbnail version. Nice tonal range in this one and I like your capture of the concrete texture lines on the underside of the decking.

I'm really enjoying these road shots; interesting to note the similarities in vehicle fleets between here and there - global convergence.

Yes, very cool having them aiming for the wall. A bit of noise(?) for a not so high ISO, but it suits the scene. This was my introduction to LA. Got off the plane after crossing the Pacific, collected the hire car and then boldly tackled this sort of scene as we headed east to our motel. Scary stuff.

Lovely image. Beaut. contrast between the warmth and calm on the right and the less comfortable environment on the left. Also like how the rock breakwater snakes out into the frame, and the nice sense of wave surge for 2.5 secs.
