As David said, not sure what it is but it is really neat.

I have no idea what I'm looking at but it's cool!

Great bokehgon patterning (I like the colour mix), plenty sharp up front. I concur with your choice.

After flicking back and forth, I pick this one.
And good luck with the art school. I wanted to go to art collage when I was leaving school at 16, failed as my English was pretty bad and it still is =). I said whats that matter and they said if I had to do any graphic arts I could not spell the product names =)

I like this, not very good at saying why I like certain shots, I just like it.

Quite a strong mix of colours and shapes; I personally think around f1.8 is the weakest f-stop of this lens. It's not creamy soft like f1.4 and not super-sharp as closed down a little. Just my 2c.

Yes, Mrs Todd did well. Rod has summed up the colour keys very well. I'm interested in how this lens renders versus the early Taks 50/1.4. Some people claim it's a very similar design, but I don't always see this coming through in photos. However, the in to out of focus transitions around the stirrers is just exceptional (like the Taks).

What Hannah's eyes tell us - "I'M JUST ABOUT TO GO FOR AN INTERVIEW". She looks like she has butterflies in those eyes...but I could be wrong, maybe she wasn't that nervous. Good luck, all the best Hannah.

Lovely portrait, lovely light. Hopefully Hannah will take an advanced photography course for you to enjoy.
