I like your choice of lens and focal length to exploit the the curved nature of the erosion bowl.

The sunspikes aren't as strong as in the b&w image, but I think the colour is a bonus for this scene, especially the prickly pear leaves.

Very nice conveyance of the scale of these magnificent trees. Just as I remember them from our trip. Colours spot on.
