What an unusual structure. Does this have some "official" purpose (lifeguard, boat racing) or is it just a recreational "sanctuary" from the somewhat dangerous environment urrounding it?

There's that doggy eye again but then, as Savoche notes, Abi and phone demand attention on the other side of the frame. Hannah's obvious affection for the dogs comes through strongly too. Great family shot.

I think you're starting to play to this lens's strengths with your photo here and on the ones on the Single In Challenge. More muted "autumnal" colours; softer, wider angle but more intimate scenes that don't test the resolving power or the edges too much. Strong natural contrasts, like you have here with the well defined face of the dog, and the light from the mobile phone, for example.
