Very nice, such a natural photo, enhanced even more by the pathos of the leather sofa tones. They really are superb lap dogs.

I am surprised f/1.8 worked. This is just perfect however. The puppy is a great prop.

I really don't think the shutter speed was a problem here. The lack of a flash gave the nice bokeh background. If anything maybe giving it a little more DOF with f/2.8 or so would have been useful.
