Stunning! The original allowed very tasty close inspection. The stream in the valley floor drives home the scale involved here and it's evident there's no scope for drone retrieval. Fantastic shade detail throughout, and I especially like seeing how the foreground rills become better defined, fewer in number and wider apart as the eye traces their courses downslope from the bottom of the red band. Standing on the plateau surface away from the canyon, you'd have no inkling of what lies beneath. You got me hooked again.

Clever stuff! The frame is dominated by distractions from the prime subject, but she shines with aplomb. That giant leaf shadow is amazing.

Appreciate being offered this concentrated view as well - it emphasises the ruggedness and lets microforms shine.

I could ogle this place for ages; the more I pause, the more I see. We visited Bryce Canyon in Utah on our big road trip - similar features but different scale and colours, and this seems much harder/harsher in its character. The absence of vegetation makes all this possible of course, and I hope you cherish that as a positive aspect of living in an arid environment. Magical place.
