I really like this - the shot and the processing

I'm going to say that I prefer this one of the two. The differing background warmths doesn't really bother me that much.

lmao! Sorry to hear about your perfect failure storm. Days like that happen all the time, to everybody. Don't let it get you down... but DO use a neck or wrist strap!

I think the high-key has potential, and I might B&W it and mess with adding some textures (On1 Perfect Effects has changed the life of many of my rather poor photos.)
