I acknowledge that what I'm toying with is not a fair comparison, but when I get home I'll get out my FA50/1.4 and my MacTac 50/4 for a play. I was staggered at how sharp the latter was as a 50 landscape lens, although as you note, f4 is restrictive.

Check that bushy tail and the long straight fur - looks like it's been ironed.

Her fur seems noticeably darker in all shots and the boundary between light and dark fur at the front ankle(s) seems much sharper than I recall - mini leggings! Very impressive focus/sharpness with useful dof at this shooting distance.

I like the plant's spreading grandeur, and how well focus has been achieved peering between the leaves. Minor odd fringing at the window.

It would have been nice to have comparison shots with your other "best" 50.
So far I'm impressed with sharpness, oof rendering and pop. I've noticed blue fringing in a couple of frames where room elements have contrasted strongly with the bright window light, but of course that can be readily managed.
