OK you addressed my earlier speculation on location (I always start reviewing at the first post in any new series you put up). The star field isn't as exciting here because of the light pollution, but the fore and middle ground's are great - I'm liking the combination of torch lit timber and the silhouetted vegetation beyond. Well worth the cold trip I reckon.

No mistaking this one, even if it is upside down. The GR has done well distinguishing star colours and much of the iconic nebulosity is evident. The stars are essentially pin points, although I think I see tiny "tails" at about 2 o'clock on many of them - could well be my eyes (I'm beginning to get growths over my right artificial lens and may have to get it cleaned by laser) or it may be momentary camera movement if you didn't have a shutter delay set. Not a biggy though, it's great to see you engaging with the stars. The presence of the nebulosity suggests you've escaped some of the light pollution of the city, or you've taken a little trip into the bush.
