Ha, despite all our discussions a few years back about monitors I still haven't bought a good one; the MacBook Pro still serves, despite almost total degeneration of its non-reflective finish.

I seem to remember this garden bed too - quite an innovative use of beach sand for bugger all cost.

I like this ne best for the composition; reasonably close to the offset garden, palm well over to the right, yet still a jetty presence.
Wasn't aware that irfanview was still alive. When we gt our very first desktop Macs and were introduced to Macs, Irfanview was the free/shareware that allowed so to play with jpegs that the Mac chose not to like.

Not what I was anticipating as a night scene. The daytime views of flagged arches had me expecting a lot of party light strings as well, especially around the pier shelter.

Very nice use of the pier light with structures.

Obviusly well set up for night charters as well as day time - not sure that's very common here. Nice handling by the Oly - very clean and/or well cleaned for high ISO.

Nice light, nicely busy, with good detail pretty well everywhere.

personal preference of course but I prefer the earlier sailboat shots with the dark background to the sails.
