Crikey, great camouflage. I zoomed in on this one to get a better idea of what the hawk(?) was doing - it was only after a minute or so that I saw the nest. It would be interesting to see how long it hangs around as the development proceeds and people move in with cats and kids with catapaults. Or perhaps it will thrive, adapting to new prey.

The middle level brush has the ever so slight reddish/brown tint and I mean slight. I suspect it's my screen though - I'm using the MacBook Air this morning - the one that has most calibration issues. But thought I'd mention it.

Returning from other shots - they have tinge too - didn't notice it first time through - but again, I'll bet it's my monitor playing up again.

Amazing that there's so much intensive residential development in such a harsh environment.

Incongruous (to me) contrast between the new constructions and the starkly barren bush-scape they are replacing.
