As always, you're quite perceptive and it is indeed a strange/atypical intersection. There are a number of odd intersections around town, some that even seem a bit misleading because they put different signs near together that can cause confusion. I thought it was just me then one time recently I turned at a red light because of way the signs are arranged, so when other lights turned green there was another sign that made me think it was time to go... But then Kim remarked that she had done the same thing before...

I think I'd be hiding under the dashboard at this stage lol. I think it's a combination of the width of pavement and the scarcity of lane lines.

It's an intersection with a highway.. We were waiting at the light to turn left onto the onramp while this truck turned left from the offramp..
