Amazing rilling, and stratigraphy. The distant reds seem a bit intense to me - wondering if there's a ND spill-over effect here from sky darkening.

I find it hard to believe that you find this disappointing; I'm enthralled. The erosion/flow patterns left foreground are so diverse, and beyond that, the lack of vegetation reveals the lithology so well - like the darker, organic rich strata. Such a rich landscape.

OMG, I like to think I wouldn't have made a fly-through call on that, but tbh just that distance would have made it very difficult for me to discern the drone's location. It would have been apparent on the control screen, but the wide angle camera view has too often encouraged me to inadvertently prune greenery, fortunately without losing the drone. OTOH repaap would probably have rotated his drone 90 degrees and tried to bore a hole through lol. Surprised that your mates didn't point out the realities to you beforehand.

It's certainly captivating terrain, especially with the mix of hard rock outcrops and old, incised valley fills.

Interesting to ponder what triggered infilling of the valley and the subsequent incision of the flat topped fill. Another great teaching image.
