No sympathy....they'll never learn if you give in. Take away his iPad (or similar) when you threaten to take it away, and he still continues to behave badly. Don't threaten and then fail to follow through. Use the naughty step. And show him the biscuit when he's good. etc etc I learned all this from Super-Nanny on TV..... (I write this because our neighbour has incredibly badly behaved 4 year olds next door and an incredibly badly behaved dog and the mom NEVER follows through....)
