I prefer this one too - the top of the "dome" is intact. The gel colour makes for a suitably spacey image and you've got some nice stars. Have you had any stickybeaks attracted to the coloured lighting?

Are you aware of Comet Atlas? It's a new one only visible in the northern sky of the northern hemisphere. It's not naked eye yet, but brightening steadily - some predict it could be one of the most spectacular in decades.

Agree totally with your thinking; this works very well. I also think the single clear smile in this one readily outweighs the greater number of faces in 1653.

Crikey, people have been busy stacking. I like this one a little more than the similar one next door; it still retains the cloud drama but assigns more weight to the rocky terrain.

I love today's B&W post but I like the colour ones even more, especially this one. The clarity and colours of the rockscape are a delight; the cloudscape caps things off beautifully.
