Not as nice a pose but face focus is fine. The "smearing" I referred to before seems to be expressed as a stretching in the grass on either side of Pippi.

Yeah, I have to agree, it's the nicest pose. Manual lenses are so unforgiving lol. You've got the swirl going but I'm also attracted to the smeared character of the fine branches.

I was enjoying the B&W next door with its strong IR leaf character, and then I saw this - those vibrant greens win me over, vibrant but not unnatural. I also think there's greater opportunity to appreciate the bokeh in this one.

They're there; subtle, but a comfortable accompaniment to the stark whiteness of the subject. Very nice.
