I find the monoculture stands of pines both interesting and slightly discomforting. Such a stark difference to our eucalypt woodlands and forests. We have commercial pine plantations but they're not places you hike through. These look naturally random and with the big rock outcrops make for a very attractive landscape. Do they moan "sadly" when a breeze moves through them?

Way out of my comfort zone here. Seems to be potential for shelter; did the Indians occupy/use this area - burials, spiritual gatherings, rock art?

Fabulous. This looks more like limestone. Really like the more blocky character and the higher verticals with crevices.

Looks like a big set of lips! Some similarities to the sandstone that outcrops around Sydney. Not as massive but very similar weathering tones and micro-relief.

I like this one a lot. It really sets the scene for me and gives some idea of accessibility.
