I do like this one. Some pretty impressive scenery on offer, cant wait to see more.

The darker foreground really adds a sense of foreboding or menace to the rock stairs as you climb up to the starburst at the top.

Surprised and pleased you've been able to venture out like this so soon. Keep this up and you can get rid of the gym! Do those slabs move or has someone added a bit of mortar? - my knees are wary.
Thanks for the map link - I nearly added a request for one earlier but let it go in deference to your currently pressured existence - so I appreciate the link even more.

That's gorgeous! Love how you've scored the sunburst without sacrificing the lovely soft light on the right. A super lesson in landscape photography.

Good to know there's likely to be company if you twist an ankle or whatever. Wonderful rock outcrops with I imagine, all sorts of colour plays as the light changes.

Hope you were pleased with the obvious photo potential - no excuse not to be!

Different vegetation but the rock outcrops remind me strongly of parts of Broken Hill. Any mining around here?

Fabulous terrain. Wondering what interesting critters you'll discover. You must get a UV torch for scorpion spotting at night. But don't tell the kids before you go camping.

How good is this? And so soon into your move. Enviable landscape - and the mid-day heat will force you up early
