Bearing in mind my preference for natural (read accurate) rendering of tones (unless trying to be deliberately "artistic" I prefer this one. The cliff seems a bit on the red side (very slightly) but the clouds are spot on (cf the greenish cloud next door), but your own scan has revealed better detail I think.

Revisiting a day later - I still lean to this one for the skin tones but enthusiasm is tempered still by the green. And I don't know if this is a plus or minus but you're tempting me to put a roll of Portra through that K1000 I picked up last week. I've previously sworn I'd never shoot film again haha.

the only thing I can find for this gallery software is a rating system, but I would be the only one who could see it, and it's not in a very useful layout in the admin control panel. I looked for a plugin or something the the piwigo community but there isn't anything from what I can tell.. thanks for the comments!

Boy it’s a tough call between the 2 but I think I find the colors in this a bit more pleasing. A fine portrait in either case!

A lovely shot of them.
I find the lab scan has a brighter feel but maybe slightly green, this one whilst quite natural has a touch of magenta in the highlights (under the tree in particular). Again colour negatives are a pain to get right.
I have only tried this film in 35mm, I am impressed with the clarity/detail on offer here.

Brilliant blue/gold combo.

Perhaps a tad warm? Flesh tones good (his left hand a bit on the red side?) and the dappled light beside it has magenta hints on my screen. So many variables though.

I reckon the skin tones look pretty good here; if you hadn't included the other version for comparison .....
I'm wondering if the "truth" is somewhere between the two - this one struck me as being just a touch green, the other a touch warm but ....
