Marvellous study of a sliver of window light, with just enough shadow detail. I like how Hannah is only partially lit directly, allowing her face to bathe in the soft reflected glow. Mr Moose comes up well too.

Haha, a big protein fix. Sounds like a great combination to me. Superb image too, so much going on. The in-your-face ribbon bow is a striking anchor and there's just enough detail in the oof area to enjoy snooping. The window light is super.

These aren't the squids she makes for sale. Those are more elaborate... I would imagine the squid featured tree might still be a one year run at least as far as dominating the tree goes. Only time will tell haha.. Zion isn't impressed. It takes a lot to impress him and he likes things to be more traditional in general. He is always disappointed that we don't put up lights outside the house for example. We always tell him he has a lot to look forward to when he grows up haha..

So good! Those squid are brilliant (good idea adding some white ones too) and the Occy on top really is a crowning glory. I guess it's a one-year wonder though if Hannah is going to sell them after Xmas - I'd be wanting to keep that as an ongoing family tradition Is Zion impressed?

Thanks. Regret that I come across as being hard on myself. I don't feel that way but maybe you're right. My intent was just to share about my struggles with portrait photography. Chose to spend a large chunk of the day culling and processing because we'll be away for a couple days then it's Christmas so wanted everyone to get their photos.
