Great catch and no strings atached! Wish I could taken a pic of you at work. I have a mini ball head thingamy - it's foot sits in the camera hot shoe and the other end screws into the lume cube. It's about 75mm long, and you can manoeuvre the lc around and clamp for different lighting angles. Cost about $3 from Chinese ebay outlet.

no not at all I would presume. I was closer the fray than they were and didn't realize it because it was dark. the lume cube is though!

Are the Oly and the Lumix shower-proof?

8 seconds seems an age even allowing for the other parameter values. The footpath surface and the wet grass have come up nicely - have you tamed the street light much?
Looking forward to your rear gel filter results ....

yeah tried a couple others of the yellow flowers to also capitalize on that setting sun in the background, but as usual was met at home with the FA77 resisting my focusing on those attempts. I find the FA77 to be so challenging to get the focus right. It seems like it's there at first but then I find it's not quite there. so yeah, not the best lens for me at least not when I'm in my quick and relaxed shooting style/mode.

yeah that's why i boosted to +1.7 so I could try to boost the flower as much as possible. same as the shot of the day, was taken while Kim was needing as much of my attention as possible on an after dinner walk, so was only able to shoot quick snaps and move on... focus wasn't where i wanted it either
