Glad you included it, for the fishbowl effect, as you say and still a dramatic shot, but I'm with your ladies on this post.

Well, I haven't seen them all but I like this most out of the two posted. Extraordinarily powerful technique to convey the traffic density and interesting how many tonal variations there are, both in head and tail lights. Fab. image.

Me!? Play with filters!? Never!
This was a five shot hand-held bracket set as far as the original shots taken. I played around with that using three of the shots and didn't like the results. So I took the 0 and +2 exposures and did a manual blend of those for this version. As you suggested there was some reflected light off the cactus which gave me the idea to exploit it, so yes definitely played with the sliders aggressively in Nik-Sfx. Did the same thing with the image next door. The light was flat so knew I'd end up going bw with these. I agree it does look unnatural, but it's just what happened and where things left off when I was too tired to push sliders any longer.

Superb details and light and colours, all anchored with that glossy, glassy water.

Ugh. The psychopathic look on the guys mouth and mustachio is wonderfully bad.

Every morning when I come downstairs to the kitchen, Sapphy greets me with a rolly-polly on the floor in front of me. I tickle her tummy, she then stretches out and I tickle her under her chin. This is my definition of unconditional love.

Good eye contact, and fun one-pint tippy cup for the baby.
