It's dark, its mysterious, and I like the composition. I feel like it's a rose growing for an upcoming part in a Disney film - the poison rose...that only grows at night.

You seem to be able to control the distortion fairly readily. Have you played with filters here to turn the prickly pear white or is it just the reflected skylight?
