What is it with flamingoes in the US at present? They've been popping up left, right and centre in numerous Flickr-streams for the last six months or so

The light's obviously getting a bit challenging now, for both camera and beach users, but there's still plenty of people detail to encourage inspection. Lovely mood - end of good beach day with the evening coolness setting in.

No banding evident in the sky glow either.

This is nice too, with the last wave having receded from the beach face and the guy walking on it.

I'm guessing this is the more natural light/toning. It doesn't have Miss Pink strutting her stuff but the kite's a nice addition.

ROFL. Mishka obviously couldn't care less - boy has she got you lot well trained. A look of triumph and disdain in your picture!

Very impressive improvisation given SD "loss". Was your phone mounted to your tripod or just braced on a wall/fence/railing? A pity you weren't in a position to get a shot of the rig as well The image has come up really well as a composite hasn't it? And has your signature with the "ghost train" and the reflections off it - were all frames IR?

Love the intense dusk glow imparted to the ground surface and that semi-desert character will always draw me in.
Boy was Gimp choking and chugging at this size with the stuff I was doing. It was a real test of patience. Not sure the more careful edit was any better result to the casual observer but live and learn.
