I like this

I like this too with the angled base, the pattern of car movement and the car lane with no car. But I prefer the other one because of its "whole image" appeal.

Not silly at all - looks great at first glance just looking at the moving traffic and the unobscured ground in between - then I encounter the brace and guard occupying the bottom of the frame - adding that extra dimension.

by the way, in case you are viewing this (or any of my shots) on a smaller screen, and the image is not fitting your viewing area, hit the full screen button above the image and it will auto-size it to your viewing area... then you can hit escape to get out of that viewing mode.

This made me laugh. Really laugh. Yeah, I'm weird :*D Of course, if this is the "ground" you'll be shooting all week it might get a bit monotone. Then again, it should be quite easy to shape and mold...

that's funny because i had batched out two versions of this shot, the other with the skin tones a teensy bit darker, but (guessing) because it's phone camera, it wasn't looking quite right that way either.. wasn't worth fussing any further over it. probably just needed to leave it SC and resize it.

oh i agree with you guys... it's painfully boring, but chose to stick with my 'ground only' theme take motive for taking the shot..

The face is just a teensy bit bright for me but it's an ace pov and comp. for an engaging image.
