It's a crown making a splash rather than vice versa. Liking how you've made use of the little mirror pieces in the crown and the clear beads in the crucifix.

Very first thought was that you'd photographed some dry ground in a bare paddock; then I thought breakfast biscuit. Never would have thought Tanzanaian coffee; is it upside down? Agree with bcb - perhaps a small spoon in one corner .....

It has that M.O.L. character - quite absorbing being in the semi-shade and peering out into the light past all the "exotica". Reassuring to note that Californian baking dishes get skewed just like mine.
